We love you guys! How fun it was to hang with them and Deb&Rob's family and "Gar-Bear"! We had a blast swimming, going to a Rockies baseball game, Josh's soccer game, eating great food, lots of VISITING (ha ha Cos) seeing Cosi and Marks new house, church, movies etc... On the way home we stopped and picked up Nathan at Cove Fort, he is going to spend a week or two with us while poor Aunt Lannie recoops from surgery -- and then we went to my Dads for a couple of hours and then visited my Mom's grave for Memorial Day!

It was a very fun trip and it felt so good to spend some family time together! Life is crazy busy at the end of the school year! Hard to believe there are only 8 days left! Yipee! Then it's off to Emily's wedding! WE CANT WAIT!!!

Sweet kids and hubby

Thanks for the awesome mothers day guys! Dave had to go to Beatty early Sunday morning for his High Council assignment on Mothers Day, so he took me out to dinner on Friday night at Claim Jumper (yummy!!! Where I got to have my FAVORITE blue cheese wedge salad) and then we went shopping at Home Goods and got some new kitchen stuff I have been wanting/needing... very nice! :)
Then Sunday morning my sweet kids made me breakfast in bed... waffles, a smoothie, tater tots, and yogurt! (ha ha) It was delicious and I can't believe how sweet they are. I also got a cookie flower bouquet from Ellie, two flower pins from Katie (made from pumpkin seeds, very cute) a pen, and a bracelet from Lindsey. Super sweet! I love my kids so much. They make being a mother wonderful. I have been so blessed to have obedient sweet children! My three girls have been so sick this week. Lindsey started with it on Friday night, is barely getting over it today, Ellie has had a milder version of it which lasted just 2 days, but Katie got hit with it big time. She has had a MAJOR fever since Sunday night and hasn't been out of bed too much. So, I have been kind of glued to home this whole week.... I hope they get better soon! :)
We had a nice visit over the weekend from my Dad, LeeAnn and Nathan. They came down on Thursday and I took them to the airport on Friday to go to Houston for my nephew Adams missionary farewell. He is going to Spokane, Washington. We are super proud of him. He is the second missionary on the Bertoch side! We are grateful for his good example.
Also, my oldest nephew Aaron and his wife Hillary had a baby boy a few weeks ago...Marcus, the first in my family. I am now a GREAT AUNT! (Scary!) But awesome!

I just wanted to give a shout out to all my sisters, sister-in-laws, mother-in-law, and friends! Happy Mothers Day!
Idea/challenge: Do something to really pamper yourself this year-- some suggestions:
1. Take a quiet walk alone or with your spouse.
2. Bubble bath and candles.
3. Make a list of all the good things about yourself... especially about being a mom.
4. Exercise.
5. Eat some chocolate... lots of chocolate.
6. Read a good book all day one day!
7. Get your nails/hair done.
8. Get a pedicure.
9. Plant some flowers.
10. Laugh your guts out! ;P
ENJOY! Happy mother's day! You are all great mothers and I love to watch your examples!!!

Is anyone else amazed?!?

I cannot believe that another school year is coming to an end! This year has gone by so quickly for me! I am in denial that my baby is going to first grade next year! Katie is going to be in her last year of elementary, Lindsey is starting the dreaded MIDDLE SCHOOL and Matt (sniff sniff) is going to be a SENIOR!!
Man, I never thought I would see the day when I would be so sad to see the school years draw to a close. I really am looking forward to this summer and some time to spend with the kids at home, but I just can't believe how incredibly FAST this school year passed! It seems like Christmas was just a few weeks ago... and alas, the dreaded heat is coming upon us WAY too quickly...
BUT... we are ready to PARTAY together in the water, out of state, and to do all the fun "summertime stuff"~

Random Sampler

Some random stuff this week:
1. I love cooking shows! It is actually a fun hobby and I love the new ideas! I have discovered the show "Americas Test Kitchen" on PBS and am loving it quite a bit. There are actually some really good cooking shows on PBS each Saturday and I have been able to catch them a few times when we haven't had soccer games. If you are interested check these websites out: www.AmericasTestKitchen.com and www.saramoulton.com/weeknightmeals.
2. Matt received his academic letter last week, and I didn't even know about it! NICE... He forgot to mention it... but it is for students who have had a 3.5 GPA or above consecutively. Good job MATT!
3. The girls became creative one day when they were bored and turned the dining area into a rollerskating rink... gotta love it! They had a lot of fun!

4. We got a new oven/stove/range! YEA! After TOOOO long of duct taping my oven door shut (it wouldn't shut tight) we finally got a new one last night! YEA! Doesn't seem like that BIG of a deal, but to me it is HEAVEN!! :P
5. Dave is staying home ALL day this Saturday! YEA! That hasn't happened for MANY months! YES!!!
6. We had a FABULOUS rootbeer float fight at YW on Thursday! It was such a blast, and while it might not have been the most appropriate thing to do in the church (mind you, we did keep it in the gym) it was hysterical!! Everyone involved laughed so hard they couldn't breathe! Thanks girls! :)
7. Matt has been very obsessed this week with breakdancing moves and landing a front handspring !?!? (very random)

Okay, that's it for this crazy random sampler post! ROCK ON!
