Thanksgiving and the week before!

First we had Ellie's Johnny Appleseed play- she was SO cute! Then her big feast~ I got to go help and it was so fun to be there with Ellie! :)

Matt got to come home early on the Friday before Thanksgiving- so that was an extra treat! We got to have a few days at home with him before we went to Utah. It was so nice to have him home again! :) He got to spend time with all of his friends that he has been missing and his sisters were just LOVING having him around again! He and I had a little Mom/Son time Tuesday on my day off, we went to the Michael Jackson movie and lunch. Can I just say I LOVE MJ? I really do! It brought back all my teenage memories of LOVING him so much! You gotta admit it~ He can MOVE! It was fun!! :)

We have been traveling sooo much the last two months~ Utah once in October, then to Colorado, then back to Utah twice in November!! We are ready for some down time!! But one more trip to Provo this weekend first for my brother's wedding... then we will be home for the rest of the holidays ( I think! )

Thanksgiving was great this year. Only sad part was I forgot my memory card in my camera so I only got A FEW shots... bummer!! (I will have to steal some from the rest of the family's blogs- so GET POSTIN!!)

We left Wed night and made it to Provo in record time 5 hours!! NO STOPS! Our kids were all about to wet their pants.. but we persevered and made it without stopping once! nice parents huh? YIPEE!! :)

Thursday morning Matt, Lindsey, and Katie (and most of the rest of the family) did the 5K Turkey Trot in Pleasant Grove. It was FREEZING! But they did it! YEA! It was Lindsey and Katie's first 5K! They ROCKED it!! Way to go kids! Ellie did the 800 and was AWESOME! :) We were so proud! Maybe next year your out of shape parents can join you!! YIKES.

Dinner was at Grammie G's this year. Complete with all the FIXINs... we loved it! There were 65+ people there and it was a ball. After dinner we did the annual CHRISTMAS gift exchange since none of us will be there for Christmas. It was LOADS of fun.

Then Friday morning Dave braved the BLACK FRIDAY sale at Target! Wow! He had some funny tales to tell... people go CRAZY! We scored a few of the items on our "list" and then I hit the Distribution Center and DownEast (you know, the UTAH stores) later in the afternoon. It is funny, In and Out just opened in Orem.. YOU SHOULD HAVE seen the line! I was cracking up! Needless to say, I think they will do a GREAT business there!! :)

Friday night was the MJ dance party at Cheri's. It was SO FUN! We love ourselves a good Dance Party! It's the best! Also the best was Cheri's shrimp salsa... Man! That stuff is GOOD.

Saturday, of course was the BYU/Utah game. I don't remember the last time I saw Dave so happy!! :) Can I just say he was in HEAVEN!!?? I don't think he had been to a BYU home game for over 8-9 years and he got to go with MATT!!! Doesn't get much better than that! Then to top it off it was such a great game! I stayed home and watched it on TV with the kids and then we went out to dinner with LeeAnn. It was awesome.

Sunday was church and then we dropped Matt back off at his dorm and then the drive home. It's always so nice to stop and see my Dad every time on our way back from Provo. We had a nice 2-3 hour visit and dinner with him. I love him!! :)

So Friday we are heading out again to Jason/Julie's wedding in Orem! :)

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE! I just LOVE LOVE LOVE this time of year!!! :)
