HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

We went to Las Vegas over the weekend and moved my Dad out. A total answer to prayers, he sold his house in 3 weeks with a cash buyer for asking price!! Total miracle for the Las Vegas housing market. We got to Vegas at midnight Friday night, then woke up at 6, packed his house, loaded him up and were in Cedar by 6. Put his stuff in a storage unit and then took off and got home at midnight. It was a crazy fast move and we were exhausted when we got home. But so glad he is closer to family! He is hoping to buy a new house soon! We were so happy to see all of our Cheyenne Ridge friends and so grateful for their help. We miss that ward!!! :/

So this is the shot early morning before school... Katie and Lindsey were the amazing duo of Batman and Robin and Ellie was a 50's girl. SO cute. Love it. (Thanks to the Christensen's for the costumes!) The day was full of fun and excitement, parties, parades, piano lessons, trick or treating, scary movies and hanging out with friends/family. FUN TIMES!! :))

p.s. Don't ya love the laundry all over the couch? That's us. real life. :))

STUFF

Lately we have been involved in lots of musical performances... love it!

Katie accompanied the choir at her school and did such a great job! It was a tough piece and she rocked it!

Ellie had one piano lesson with her new teacher and the next week performed in a Halloween recital. She did so well! We were proud of her and so happy we found a piano teacher! She was dressed up as a cute 50s girl!! :)

Lindsey played in sacrament mtg yesterday and did so well. (No pics-bummer). She has one more week of no running and then hopefully can get back to it next week for XC!

Dave, Katie and I spoke in sacrament mtg yesterday. It was scary. I then had to teach RS afterwards and Dave taught YM. So glad that day is over... nerves....

Friday night I got called out late on a nursing visit. It was super dark and I didn't see a grate that was sticking up out of the parking lot to the nursing home. I tore the whole exhaust system off our car and may have damaged the transmission. We are waiting to see... Dave took all kinds of pictures, being the lawyer that he is... BUMMER.

Two weeks ago Tanner had his farewell and we were able to have everyone over on the Saturday before for lunch, hanging out and the like...was a fun weekend! Loved seeing everyone! Tanner leaves in 2 days! His farewell was so great. He did a wonderful job! We are so excited for him. He is going to be an awesome missionary!!! :)

recent goings on

What's been happenin' around here:

-Ellie finished her first soccer season-- DID AWESOME!

-Lindsey and Katie are preparing a great violin/cello duet for the ward talent show.

-Lindsey still on XC team... while injured. 4 weeks til she can run again, hopefully!

-Katie is accompanying the school choir on the piano- HARD piece, working on it constantly! (Even had Caitlin come and help her--thanks!)

-Dave- starting the yard transformation process (seriously LOVING it) and cleaned our garage out so we can now PARK OUR CARS IN THE GARAGE. This basically hasn't happened for 8 years! So exciting! Scout campout, leading the Priests in our ward in a choir, and of course working hard at work. :)

-Leslie-Slowly finishing the last of the unpacking and starting to hang stuff on walls... :) Working at job, enjoying that and taking care of the kiddos :)

Matt- Loving his area and companion and amazed that it's been a whole year!

UTAH in the FALL

It's the best season in Utah.... FALL.

Love it. It's the season I missed most of all when we lived in Vegas...
