This past weekend I went to Boise, Idaho to see my sister's son get baptized. It was a very long drive, I went with my Dad and my other sister. We had a lot of fun. It is sort of amazing how time flies when you are not the one driving and there is good company! :) Anyway, Boise is where I grew up and we moved from there in 1981... so it was so neat to go back and see the house where I grew up... I had a very nice stroll down memory lane. I grew up in a neighborhood where everyone lived on a 1 acre lot and it was kind of rural. We had a huge pasture in a back yard with cows, a huge garden and a fort that we built in the top of our barn. It was a great place to grow up. I even got to go and see my old elementary school. It was a lot of fun and brought back tons of fond memories. I guess I am getting kind of old because it really made me feel sentimental, mostly it made me wish that my kids could have that same freedom to roam around outside and enjoy nature the way I did. It was so beautiful up there! It made me grateful for the childhood that I had and for my parents. They were/are the best!

I'm glad you had fun. The trip sounds like it went well. We are glad to have the Doxey family back in Vegas!!
Les! I guess you never know when that little Salmon inside of us starts to call us back to the mother stream. That sounds like a blast!
Leslie-there is still time to repent and return to God's country. Thanks for making the long trip. Love your blog
