FIRSTS

We have had a week full of "firsts" -- So far so good for everyone! We are grateful for our kids. They are wonderful!

END OF SUMMER...

Wow... this summer seems to have gone by faster than ever before.. maybe it's because I have been working full time, maybe it's because I have dreaded Matt leaving so bad, maybe its because I am just getting old and time seems to pass faster every year? Who knows! But it's crazy that it feels like the last day of school was just a few weeks ago! We have had a fun summer though! We hope you all have too!

We are looking forward to a great school year! School shopping is done (clothes, computer, apartment stuff, school supplies, etc..), rented a cello for Katie today- got everyone's hair cut, teeth and eyes checked, and head out Tuesday to take Matt to BYU- WOW! 2 girls in Middle school! Ellie's the last of the elementary kids!!

Matt was ordained an elder last Sunday... We enjoyed a quick visit from Lisa, Chase and Grandpa- thanks for coming!!! Then a delicious dinner with Heidi, Rich, Nikki, Jordan and kids afterwards.

AND Ellie with her missing tooth (just lost yesterday)!

SUMMER happenings

Here's our latest adventures:
1. Katie's quilt. Katie cannot wait to move into Matt's room! So in preparation we tied this quilt for her new room. Her color scheme is purple&green. It turned out pretty cute! Lindsey, Katie and Ellie did about 95% of the work while Dave and I were working and Matt was at scout camp. They are getting to be quite the little quilters! It was a great project for them
2. California trip. We went to Disneyland and the beach last week. It was sooo nice to take some time off and enjoy some recreation. Thanks Emily and Chad and Cosi and Mark! We couldn't have done it without ya! It was a blast!


Upcoming events include taking Matt to college (Provo) in 2 weeks... Lindsey, Katie and Ellie starting school in 2 weeks. Leslie cutting back to part time in 3 weeks! YEA!!!

OUR SUMMER SYNOPSIS:
June- Matt's graduation from Centennial. Matt grad trip to California. Katie graduation from elementary. Matt went to camp Helamen.
July- Gibson/Doxey family reunion Navajo Lake. Girls to Colorado for 2 weeks! Girls camp for Dave, Les and Lindsey. Matt/friends trip to Provo. Matt birthday. Matt to scout camp.
August- California/Disney vacation. Matt to college. Girls back to school.
GREAT 2009 Summer! LOVE IT! Hate to see it coming to an end!
