GRATEFUL

Words really cannot express the gratitude in my heart today.

I am so very thankful for my blessings.

Since we have found out we are moving we have had incredible family and friends who have offered their help in so many different ways. It is truly humbling. We don't deserve the kindness that is being given to us.

We love our family.

This week my oldest brother was diagnosed with cancer. Your life just stops for a second when you get news like that and the problems that seemed so big a minute ago suddenly don't matter.

My brother David is an incredible person. He has always been a great example in our family. He is the oldest child and has played the part well. He has led our family with his testimony throughout his life. He is a stake president in Houston, TX right now and was a bishop before that. He is a very smart person, a great leader and has always had a very generous and giving nature. He has the sweetest wife on earth. She is one of the best people I know. And four great kids!!!I pray that he will be blessed through this trial.

Life is short and fragile. Matt sent us a great quote today in his email I LOVE IT:

"anyone who imagines that bliss is normal is going to waste a lot of time running around shouting that he has been robbed. The fact is most putts don't drop, most beef is tough, most children grow up to be just people, most successful marriages require a high degree of mutual toleration, most jobs are more often dull than otherwise. Life is like an old time rail journey... delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride." - Pres. Gordon B. Hinckley

I am so very thankful for my life and for the blessings I have been given throughout it. I am undeserving of all that Heavenly Father has given me. I want to be a better person!!
