So here's what's been going on for us in January:

-We had a GREAT new years bash complete with dinner, a gift exchange, a slide show of the highlights of the last year and a lovely NYE family dance! It's always so much fun to have all the family together and to party! :)
Grammie's missionary homecoming :)
-Lindsey has had bronchitis for about 3 weeks, poor thing, she just can't seem to kick it even with all the medications she is on. She finished up cross country and is now taking photography! Fun!
-Last weekend the girls and I went to Las Vegas to a wedding of our good friend Emily. It was so wonderful to be there! We loved hanging out with Rich and Heidi and their cute kids! It really made us realize how much we miss it there. It is just awesome to see friends you haven't seen for a while. I miss having those relationships in the ward. It takes a long time to rebuild those kind of friendships,it seems. We also got to have two nice long visits with Grandpa on the way there and back. It was so great to see him so happy in his new home!!!
-Ellie got strep throat while we were there and is still recovering. no fun :(
-Lindsey and Ellie started taking violin lessons this week from Grammie and are super excited about it! :)
-I got a new assignment at work. I am now working exclusively at one assisted living facility in Cedar Hills. It will be nice to see all my patients in one spot instead of driving all over the place. :) I also got a new calling at church as ward camp director! I am really excited! A little bit nervous because I don't know how they do things here, but also really excited to be with the YW and especially my girls!! :) I love girls camp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) So yea!!!
-Dave is still working hard... busy as can be! To be honest, we haven't seen much of him for the last 2-3 months. But he LOVES his new job. TONS. He is going to Japan again next month too.
-Matt only has 7 months to go and it is SO HARD to believe. He got transferred to Cape Town, Milnerton and is SO happy to be there! :) He has two companions and says they are both great!
-Today for fun, since we haven't had a Saturday together in AGES we went to the Orem Rec for a couple of hours, swam, lifted weights and did the elliptical machines ( yeah, don't fall off of your chairs) It was fun! :) We have been having fun being able to be with our families more too. It's great!
-I have been looking for an apartment for Matt at BYU... not so fun... hopefully something will pan out soon. Matt Buxton and I were beating the streets together last week.. kind of funny :)
-We have been surprised at the lack of snow this winter, but aren't complaining :)
LIFE IS GOOD. Hard to believe February is just around the corner with 2 birthdays and valentines day! :) Always something fun to look forward to! :) LOVE IT!
Here's Matt and his two new comps at the top of Table Mountain in Cape Town. AWESOME!!! Love that boy!!!!

Glad you guys are busy and happy (and hopefully healthy again soon!) Congrats on the new jobs and calling - I had that calling once and as a result, have Dallin! Long story :-)
I can't believe Matt has only 7 months left! I am happy for you to look forward to seeing him later THIS YEAR - crazy!! He is just so wonderful! If only he could wait around for a decade until my Brooklyn's grown... ;P Hahah!Wishful thinking of a mother :) It was so great to see you at Emily's reception. Thank you for taking the time to visit!
