Here's some of the details of all the help we received during the week of the wedding.
Tuesday night we had tons of people there wedding, spreading soil and helping us get it just perfect. Special thanks to Bry and Cheri for the awesome edging, to Dale for moving dirt and to all the sisters/sister in laws for the wedding and spreading of dirt.
Thursday was Matt's bday and all the men came over and had a "bath" for him complete with birthday cake. He received a bunch of new and used tools from the men. It was awesome. Dan arranged that one... Thanks Dan! Rob, Bry, Dale, Dave Ross, Mike, Trey, Dan, Dave, Andy, Andrew, Peter and James were all there. It was a hoot!
LeeAnn came multiple times and weeded, then cleaned my main floor the day of the reception, Debbie, Cosi, Amber and Julie helped me with food prep/ s'mores all morning Thurs and then Cosi and Debbie went all out and made AMAZING cupcakes for the wedding behind the scenes all week. They were delish! LeeAnn brought us in dinner one night, we borrowed tons of stuff from Debbie and Cheri and Rob was a pro at putting up the pergola lights, sweeping, bringing pots over and moving the dumpster out of the parking lot! :) Debbie and her kids came over and weeded the morning of the reception and Maddie Crane had the unfortunate task of living with us in July so she was out there weeding with my girls on a daily basis... sorry Maddie... NOT that fun! What incredible family though! We were so thankful for the help and couldn't believe how willing and anxious everyone was to help. It was a lot of fun in the process... mixed with a titch of stress... but over all it turned out AMAZINGLY well!!
The reception Friday, July 26th in our back yard was so much fun and turned out so beautifully! We worked so hard all summer on our yard and the last week, the week of the wedding we had a huge outpouring of help from the family! We had a great night! Casey looked stunning and Matt looked dapper! :) It was awesome! I can't wait to get the real photos back from the photographer, but here are a few snapshots of the reception and the temple.
The sealing the next day, Saturday, July 27th was so beautiful. It was a really great day. We headed up to SLC around 10 am and watched Matt and Casey get their photos done before the sealing on the temple grounds. They were beautiful! The weather was perfect! Lindsey, Katie and Ellie waited outside the temple and babysat the kids from Casey's family and Alyson Bertoch McMurtrey's little boy Brayden. So cute!
It was so awesome to have all 12 of Dave's siblings, Caitlin, Kendy, Austin, Andrew, Peter, & James, Carol, my Dad and Tim & Jalene, Stacey and Alyson (David was in Russia), LeeAnn & Dale, Lisa & Al from my family there. Bishop Mike Creer, Trey, Zach, Scott, & Jeff were able to attend as well. It was a great moment in the temple. Seeing Matt and Casey so clean and pure and worthy to be sealed was a wonderful "parent moment". We loved seeing their tears of happiness as the knelt across from each other. Awesome day!!
Then after a few pictures outside the temple we headed over to Bucca di Beppo for the wedding luncheon. We had 80 people there! It was great! We had a little slide show and then a speech from Dave Ross, Dave, and then Matt and Casey. It was seriously so delightful!! :) Great, great day!
