Last of Yellowstone

Casey captured this awesome picture of Matt fishing. It was so beautiful. I realized a new appreciation for the beauty of Idaho, Montana and Wyoming. This is part of my heritage also. My grandparents on both sides and my parents grew up fishing on and loving these rivers and this country. I couldn't help but think of my Grandpa Bertoch fishing these rivers as I saw Matt out here fishing. It was so peaceful and so beautiful. He caught a few baby trout that he released. He was the only one with a fishing license. We all just enjoyed watching :) This was on the snake river just outside of Mack's Inn. It was so peaceful and so beautiful.

I love this pic of Dave and Matt :)

More Yellowstone Vacay

more geothermal stuff

me pretending to be "dog tired"

Yellowstone is GORGEOUS

Upper Yellowstone falls- incredible view!!! It was pretty scary actually!

We had so much fun just being together! It was great! :)

Here's the back seaters doing some awesome selfies!! Haha! We were pretty crammed- 7 of us all in this little mazda car-- but everyone was pretty darn chipper about being squished. We just loved being together... until we hit a 3 hour traffic jam-- we played just about every single game you could think of on the way home- we had a 12 hour return trip :)

Jumping in the river at Fire Hole. That was the FUNNEST time EVER!!!! We would jump off the rocks into a deep spot where the current was really fast and then it would just shoot us down the river. We stayed there for about 3 hours. It was pretty fun! :)

VACATION continued...

So after we picked up Lindsey and Katie we headed up to Rexburg and they took a tour of BYUI by Casey while Dave and I went to the grocery store and stocked up on food for the rest of the trip. Dave had the awesome idea to bring a crock pot and cook our dinners while we were gone all day. It was PERFECT because we came home SO hungry every day and the dinner was ready! We got up to Island Park to our cabin around 6 that night, made tacos, watched a movie and went to bed! The next day was church in Island Park with about 1000 other vacationers... it was seriously huge.. filled a huge church and a giant overflow. We went home, ate lunch, took a nap and then headed up to Yellowstone! It was awesome. We saw a lot of the geothermal features, a water fall, Old Faithful and then TONS of wild animals. Yes, Matt was in heaven. A  cow moose and her baby, a bull Elk, a ton of bison, a bald eagle, a coyote, and a cow elk. It was awesome!
JUST CHILLIN IN THE CABIN :)
