Sunday Thought and recent events...

I love this thought by Elder Neal A. Maxwell that I came across this morning and just wanted to share:
"Can you and I really expect to glide naively through life, as if to say, ‘Lord, give me experience, but not grief, not sorrow, not pain, not opposition, not betrayal, and certainly not to be forsaken. Keep from me, Lord, all those experiences which made Thee what Thou art! Then let me come and dwell with Thee and fully share Thy joy!’"

This is something so TRUE but so HARD to remember and so hard to get through sometimes. For the past many months I have been wishing to just AVOID my trials and lately I am beginning to UNDERSTAND a little better their purpose and am trying to ACCEPT them and recognize the growth they are bringing in my life rather than being FRUSTRATED with them. I love the way our Heavenly Father lets us struggle and then blesses us to see the REASONS why at a later time. Not saying the struggling is easy, but with the right attitude it ALWAYS is WORTH it.

Ellie and I went to Cedar City Fri and Sat for the baptism of these TWINNERS, Anthony and James by my cute Daddy:
Dave, Lindsey and Katie went to Colorado to get their braces worked on. CHECK OUT THESE TEETH: YEEHAW!! Don't they look awesome?!?! Dave is SOOOO happy to be done with his braces! THANK YOU MARK!!!

That's what's new in our neck of the woods~ Also, I am going private sometime next week~~ thanks for all your email addresses!! :)

That is all soooo true...I especially love this part, "Not, saying the struggling is easy, but with the right attitude it ALWAYS is WORTH it." :) that's good stuff.

Dave!!! Your teeth look GREAT!! It's like a new Dave, which was once the old Dave, before the oldest Dave. I noticed your kitchen is wallpaperless too. Tres glam. Congrats on straight teeth--that really is phenomenal. Baby 'em.

Congrats Dave! I hope to join the "straight teeth" club one of these years, too!! :)

Leslie, thanks for sharing the quote. I don't think I've heard that one and I, love it! I'm going to print it out and keep it - good reminder these days!

What a great quote. I needed that today. Looking forward to seeing Dave's teeth in person! Pretty exciting.
