Lake Retreat with sisters :)

We had a fun day at the lake with Lisa and Al and family... we decided that we need to do more sister get-togethers! We got to go tubing behind the boat and had a blast! :) Thanks to Lisa and Al for the invite!! It was great! :)

It was a great day at Pineview Reservoir up Ogden Canyon with Lisa, Al, Joy Boman, Chase, McKay, Easton, Nate, Lindsey,  Katie, me,  LeeAnn and Ellie!! FUN TIMES! Boating is the best! :) I love it...  but I tend to think I'm still 14 ... the day after is a bit brutal... hahah! :)

EFY

Lindsey and Katie had an AWESOME time at EFY this year! They absolutely loved it! They went to BYU Provo with Maddie Crane and Aubrey Brasier. Here are a few cute photos :) I am so glad they got to go and had such a wonderful experience!!! 

 

THE BASEMENT

The basement has consumed Dave's evenings and most Saturdays all summer. He will be so glad when it's done! But he is doing great work! I am so thankful that he has such awesome skills :)  We are trying to get it done in time for Matt and Trey to live there at the end of August! :)

So far we have the framing, electrical, plumbing, insulation and sheet rock done, it is taped, and will be textured Monday, the tub/shower is in... Today Dave is working on the tile. Then we will paint, carpet, do the baseboards, doors and windows, sinks, toilet, cabinets... It's going to be iffy... do ya think we can get all that done in 3 weeks?!?! YIKES!!!!

A HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE thanks to Dale, Rob and Bry for saving our bacon last weekend and helping us sheet rock. It was a BEAST!! They really helped us A TON!! MUCHOS GRACIAS!!!!!!!

HAPPY 21st Birthday Elder Doxey 7-25-12

It is seriously incredible to think that Matt is 21!!! I got an awesome email from his Mission President's wife today for his birthday. It was so kind of her to think of us and to send us these great pictures!! He is doing great and loving his mission so much!! He is getting super sad that it is winding down. We are getting so excited to see him and be with him again, but can't help but feel sad for him... He has loved it so much. It has meant so much to him. He is a great son and we love him very much and are so happy for the wonderful experience he has had on his mission. Happy Birthday Elder Doxey!!!!

These photos were taken today, on Elder Doxey's 21st birthday. I thought it was funny that he was playing the mission home piano with his backpack on. I am sure you have seen photos of his companion, Elder Lebala. I took the photos of the two of them at Bellville Stake Center, after they attended a meeting there with President tonight. I took the photos of Table Mountain at sunset while I was waiting for them. Our son just called on Skype from Alaska, so it is rather late. Visit from my bestie :)

MAN! I have missed this girl!!! I have to say... I  just didn't realize HOW MUCH I would miss having a bestie close by! Jamie is one of those friends that are kind of once in a lifetime. We clicked immediately and always had such a great time together. She and I really were there for each other in Vegas with all the ups and downs in our families etc... I really miss having someone like that!!! It was so great to see her! I just love her and her sweet family so much! They are seriously amazing people!

I was so excited that Jamie was able to stop by and spend some time with me last week! You always know it's a true friend when you can talk and talk for hours without ever running out of things to say... when you can say anything at all... and when you can laugh your head off.. and when it feels like you haven't skipped a beat since last time you talked!

Katie, Cassidy and Lindsey!! These girls are all growing up! I still remember the first day of kindergarten and first grade for these girls like it was yesterday at Sheila Tarr Elementary!

FAMILY REUNION

What a blast! Our Gib/Dox family reunion this year was SO GREAT!!! We had an awesome time at Millsite! Our favorite reunion location! We had rain, heat, wind etc... We did tons of boating, tubing, jet skiing, boogie boarding, skiing, wake boarding, canoeing, swimming etc... we had a ball with the family "red carpet" showing of old dresses from Grammie. A ton of good food, a family dance, singing around the campfire with guitars, an awesome slide show, a family fun run/walk 5K, a raffle, crafts, cards, naps in the hammocks, a big family photo, etc.. etc.. A great time was had by all! LOVED it!!!! The best part of the whole thing was just being together. All 12 kids and their families! YEEHAW!
