HEY! HEY! HEY!

WARNING: Major long post...

It's all about the kids!
Really, what would our lives be without all the fun and joy our kids bring us? We have had some fun things going on ~ it's a great time of life!

Dave and I are keeping busy with work and church and most of all family. Here are some updates on our KIDS... I am going to try to do it one kid at a time here, let's hope I can get it to work!
Ellie
Ellie has had a great month ~ She started tennis lessons last month with Lindsey and Katie and has been doing awesome. Her coach nick named her Ellis Island, it's cute... She has great form and is really progressing! She also received an award at school for getting her AR (accelerated reading) goal all three trimesters! Great job! She has also been a MAJOR help with the ongoing kitchen painting project! Last Friday we got to go toMom's and Muffins together at school and then a really fun Mom/Daughter night for activity days!

Katie
Katie played her cello in the orchestra concert last week and did a great job. She is hoping to try out for advanced orchestra next year and wants to practice a lot this summer to be able to make it! She is doing great in tennis too and wants to keep taking next year. She was awarded the Straight A's award at school too and we are so proud of her for her hard work!!!

Lindsey
Lindsey got chosen to be the piano accompanist for the beginning orchestra concert, and did a great job. She also performed on the violin in the intermediate orchestra concert. She is really doing well on her instruments! She also has enjoyed taking tennis lessons and has improved a lot! She was recognized in an assembly at school for getting straight A's all year (her second year in a row!) We are so proud of her hard work! She is awesome!!

Matt
Matt went through the temple just over two weeks ago for the first time. What a great thing to see your child in the temple!! Although he wishes he could leave tomorrow, we are glad to have him here for a few more months! He has been so helpful with so many things around here and we are savoring every minute before he leaves. We are starting to check off some of the things on his LONG LIST ..he got FIVE immunizations yesterday...ouch!... we have bought his shoes, luggage, camera, and some shirts and ties... we have a lot more to keep working on from the list all summer!! He has been looking hard for a job and finally got one yesterday doing some home renovation work! Yea! He got to go on a fun trip to St. George/Zion's last week and hike Angels Landing and see some of his college buddies one last time before they go into the MTC this month. He and Dave went to the Father's and Sons outing Friday and had a great time together... their 18th one!!! He is planning a big trip to SF with his friends next month... woot! woot! livin la vida loca! ha ha. Tonight he is being honored by our stake for receiving his Duty to God award at a steak dinner where Lindsey and Katie are serving as our waitresses! :)

HE GOT IT!!!!!!!

We are so excited!!! My Dad got the house RIGHT ON OUR STREET that he put an offer on.It's only 2 doors down~ literally about 50 yards from us!! We know it was an answer to prayer. My siblings and I and our families had all been praying that he would get it, and HE DID!! Just another testament that Heavenly Father really does care about us and even the "small things" in our lives! We are so happy that he will be right here next to us!!! YEA! Now onto the fun stuff-- packing, sorting through everything at my parents home in Cedar City, dividing it all up etc.. and then fixing up his house down here! Busy, busy busy!
