Back to school for the kids! I can't believe it!
Matt was up and at 'em bright and early at 5:00 a.m. getting ready for seminary~ his last year! I decided I should at least get up with him on the first day of school (I don't know how long it will last), I haven't done it since he was a freshman!
Lindsey was up bright and early as well at 6:00 a.m. and looked cute as can be on her first day of middle school! I can hardly wait to hear how it went for her!!! She was excited mostly, but a little nervous! Those lockers, changing classes, new people etc... etc... a BIG adventure!
Katie and Ellie woke up with Lindsey so they could tell her goodbye... It's very weird for Lindsey and Katie to not be in the same school this year, they always have! Lindsey said "I am going to be looking around going, 'Where's Katie' all year". :(
Katie is so excited to have Ms.Wright. She looked so cute today, and a little bit more grown up, I have to say! She is also so excited to be the oldest in the school!
Ellie was SUPER excited to be a BIG first grader! She had her backpack packed 3 weeks ago and her outfit picked out! She looked so cute and I was so proud of her! She wasn't nervous at all. She has a great teacher as well, Ms. Mills. We'll she how she does with 6 hours at school instead of 2 1/2 and eating lunch there! YEA...
As for me-- super mixed emotions~ I am so sad that my kids are growing up so fast, and yet so proud of them all! When I pulled in the driveway after dropping them off, I suddenly got a little excited about having some "alone time"... it will be nice, while it lasts- Matt gets out at 11:30 this year, since he only has 6 classes instead of 8, and Lindsey gets home at 2:30-- so I don't really have TON of free time~ especially when I go back to work sometime this winter, so I am living it UP!!! :)

YOU'RE KILLING ME! You girls are sooo beautiful! I am so proud of you and the good girls that you are. I love you very, very much. Have the best first day of school ever! AND all year long!
The girls looked super cute today. Can't believe how grown up Lindsey looks! It's certainly a new day! Good luck with your "alone time." I'll be anxious to hear how things went.

GAH!! school? don't remind me...haha. just kidding. it feels weird not to be going to high school...meh. i bet matt will have a ton o' fun this year though...it's great to be a senior. :) you're girls are adorable. seriously.

Yeah - I hope it all went well. You all looked great!! Les - I can't wait to hear about your free time each morning. Take advantage. Workouts, reading books, etc. - I/m a little jealous!!!
Leslie, it is tough having the youngest go all day! I have to admit, the house is cleaner and I am getting things done.

What's it like to have such old kids? I'm freaking out that Conner is 10. I can't imagine having high schoolers. If I raise half as good as kids as yours, I'll be pleased.
Their pictures look so cute!! I am totally smiling about Matt's picture because somewhere I saw a picture of him and he's like six or seven, standing in that same position, probably getting ready for a first day of school. :) very cute. The girls are looking grown up and it is sad for me to see my own getting older. We have to trust them and know they will do what's right! You're a great mama and good friend!!!
I can't believe how much your kids have grown up since we saw them last....does that mean we're getting older too? Our first day of school is next Tuesday - I can't believe summer is really over. It went SO fast this year!
ahh your kids are so fun leslie! im glad they had good days and im glad they were all ontime! im pretty anal about being on time! i think its my dads fault!love ya girly!
Wow--you guys look SO great!! I can't believe they are all at 3 schools--time flys! Enjoy a little liesure time Les--We miss you guys and can't wait until Conf weekend!
